I’m not being funny here. Fontaines D.C. are the rock/post punk/alternative band I have been waiting for, for so long. Everything about their past albums leading - building up to this, has been perfect. I feel lucky to be experiencing this first hand. Grian is a genius lyricist and the band encapsulates the lyrics so well. I have no idea what goes on in the writing process, but, from Favourite to Starburster to Romance (which seems to be an intro to the album) all works so well together whilst pushing the boundaries and versatility of their sound. I was so late to the party of Fontaines D.C. but I’m not gonna leave until someone kicks me out.
